Revision Powers of Central Govt.

Postby peekaybeam » Wed Mar 03, 2010 11:39 am

In December 2009, Central Govt. has done away with the concept of a Mining Revisional Tribunal. It has now decided that designated officers of Mines Ministry will deal with the matters directly, and will also take the concurrence of the Law Ministry for finalising the Opinion / Order. Oral hearings are not mandatory. We hope this will speed up decisions on revision applications. - P K Basu Majumdar
